Eccleston Law: James Eccleston Quoted in Investment News

Posted on August 27th, 2012 at 9:00 AM

Jim Eccleston was quoted in the Investment News article entitled "Merrill settlement could 'open a Pandora's box'"

Eccleston said [The settlement will be] "great for Merrill and consistent with the corporate playbook to mop up as many claims as possible and minimize any further exposure."

Brokers who left behind more than $100,000 in the deferred compensation plan will probably do better by arbitrating their claims, he said.

Mr. Eccleston said he heard from about 25 prospective broker claimants after news broke last week about the settlement.

Thank You from the bottom of our hearts for all you have done for us. When we realized this was a very bad investment - we did not know where to turn for help. Then we received your name. When we called you - you were so kind to us and then agreed to help us. For this we are so very grateful. The world would be a much nicer place if there were more people like the two of you in it. We will always remember all the help and kindness you have shown us. Thank you so very very much for everything.
