Christopher Burns, Atlanta-Area Financial Advisor, Reported Missing

From the Desk of Jim Eccleston at Eccleston Law LLC:

A missing persons report has been filed for Christopher W. Burns, a financial advisor in Atlanta. Burns reportedly left home on September 24, the day before he was supposed to hand over documents to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”). He has not been seen since that day. Police say they believe Burns “did leave with some money.” Burns’ car was found in a parking lot with copies of cashier’s checks totaling $78,000.

Burns is listed as the principal and chief compliance officer for a firm registered with the SEC as Investus Advisers, which does business under the name Dynamic Money. Burns also hosted a radio show called Dynamic Money and appeared on television news programs.

According to Christopher Burns’ wife, Meredith, Christopher was contacted by the SEC regarding an investigation into his firm on August 19, 2020. WSB-TV in Atlanta reported that investigators in at least two counties have reported receiving calls from potential fraud victims.
